Developed by Blue Flag Capital and operated by Collared Martin Hospitality, the property debuted ahead of the 2026 summer season, bringing a fresh, surf-inspired luxury experience to the easternmost tip of Long IslandNEWSPACE HOSPITALITY.

 

Originally built in 1983 as the Sunset Montauk, the property underwent a full transformation led by Blue Flag Capital, with architecture by Workshop/APD and interior design by Ward + Gray. The design preserves the site’s three original low-rise buildings while completely reimagining the interiors to reflect Montauk’s iconic surf culture, maritime heritage, and rugged Atlantic coastlineNEWSPACE HOSPITALITY. NewSpace Hospitality was selected as the key FF&E partner, delivering custom bathroom vanities, Nero Black Granite countertops with precision sink cutouts, LED lighted mirrors, and glass shower enclosures tailored to the project’s coastal, laid-back aesthetic.

The hotel’s guest rooms feature a sun-faded color palette, layered textures, and custom furnishings that evoke 1960s coastal living. Each bathroom is equipped with NewSpace Hospitality’s bespoke Nero Black Granite countertops, chosen for their deep, uniform black tone that contrasts beautifully with light wood cabinetry, brushed nickel fixtures, and soft blue accents. The non-porous, scratch-resistant stone is engineered for high-traffic hospitality environments, ensuring easy maintenance and long-term durability—essential for a seasonal property like Hotel Corduroy.

 

Outdoor amenities include a sprawling lawn with casual seating, fire pits, and unobstructed bay views, plus a private beach area with complimentary gear and bikes for exploring Montauk’s marina, beaches, and charming downtown. A curated retail shop offers local snacks, sun care, and apparel from brands like Faherty, which also designed the hotel’s staff uniformsNEWSPACE HOSPITALITY.
